Postcard from France

Dear all,

having a lovely time. Went to Bergerac yesterday, home of that guy Cyrano. Thought you might like this shot of a fashion shop, and a look at the recipe books they were selling in a very upmarket cook shop:

But for all you traditionalists, here is a cute touristy pic:

A bientot!

  1. Hello! I’m just down the road from you (well, quite a way down the road) in Bordeaux. Hasn’t the weather been crap this year?

    • Sorry, Ntt. I thought of you today in a supermarket when I was investigating the biscuit aisle and found acres of different flavoured JAffa cakes made by Pims, that firm you mentioned. Took a pic of them, but can’t send it. My tablet is only receiving stuff, it won’t send. Thought you’d like the m&m French cookery book!

    • Yeah, Pims come in many flavors, but the chocolate is all hard and thick, and although they are tasty, they aren’t as good as Jaffa Cakes. Speaking of which, I have to get in touch with my dealer.

    • Dear, dear. Has it come to this? And I feel so responsible…did you know that they brought out a black cherry version? Not for the purists, I know. But pretty damn nice. Not sure if they still do them, though…
